King Neptune is an iconic representation of Virginia Beach. This large bronze sculpture, by artist Paul DiPasquale, is located at the entrance to Neptune Park on the Boardwalk. The design is approximately 34 feet tall and consists of a 12 foot tall rock base surrounded by various fish, dolphins, lobsters, and octopuses. As the figure of King Neptune rises above this base, he holds a trident in his right hand and his left hand rests on a loggerhead turtle. The King Neptune Statue is a great location for a family photo or a quick snap for social media!
